Now, this scene here, which is hard to talk over, because Emma’s and Alan’s acting is so remarkable. Alan made me write the scene. He said that the story wasn’t ended properly. When we first talked about it, he just said: “I’ll think you’ll find that no one knows what’s happened.” So we wrote this and this is sort of my favorite scene now. - Richard Curtis
